Oatmeal Energy Balls
As we move into the New Year, many people are making New Year’s resolutions such as: hitting the gym, becoming a better person, or trying something new. Whatever the resolution or goal this year is, a healthy and energy induced snack can be extremely helpful towards reaching that achievement. If this sounds like a perfect type of treat to make here are the ingredients:
I N G R E D I E N T S
1. 1 cup of dry oats (oat of your preference)
2. ¼ cup of sunflower butter
3. ¼ cup honey
4. ½ cup of whatever you want to mix in (blueberries, m&m, chocolate chunks, etc.)
5. Dash of salt
6. ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon
7. ½ teaspoon of vanilla (optional)
Once you have all the ingredients, the creation of the snacks are quite easy to make. The outcome of the snack should look something like the picture below.
I N S T R U C T I O N S
1. In a mixing bowl, add all ingredients and stir well. Refrigerate for at least an hour.
2. Using a spoon, scoop out a tablespoon of the mixture and then roll in your hand until it becomes a ball
3. From here, store the balls in the refrigerator or freezer for at least a week to form.
