Turkey Pilgrim Cookies are quite a fun activity to participate in with friends and family, but it does come with an increased difficulty compared to the Pilgrim Hat Cookies mentioned above. These cookies also require more ingredients but if you are up to the challenge and added difficulty it does reward you with tasty treats to enjoy. If this sounds good for you here are the necessary ingredients to make the treats:
84 pieces of candy corn
12 Sunny Snacks cookies of your choosing
12 double stuffed Oreo cookies
¾ canned chocolate frosting
12 Sunny Snack chocolate cups
12 Hershey’s Kisses of your choice
¾ cup canned vanilla frosting
Orange Food Coloring
6 miniature marshmallows, halved
6 mini Oreo cookies
12 Rolo candies
Once you have these ingredients, it is fairly easy to assemble and create these little masterpieces. If you need any guidance on placement, refer to the image to see correct orientation.
1.Insert seven pieces of candy corn in a fan shape into the 12 full sized double stuffed Oreo cookies. Position each Sunny Snack cookie perpendicular to a remaining double stuffed Oreo; attach the Sunny Snack cookie to the bottom of the fanned double stuffed Oreo with the chocolate frosting.
2.Using chocolate frosting, attach a Sunny Snack chocolate cup and a Hershey Kiss to the front of the Oreo. Tint the vanilla frosting orange. For the eyes, attach two marshmallow halves to each kiss with a small amount of orange frosting.
3.Twist the mini Oreo cookies apart; remove and discard the cream filling. Attach a Rolo to each mini cookie half with chocolate frosting and attach to tops of the turkeys.
4.Using the remaining frosting, pipe pupils, mouths, and legs of the turkeys.
